Unlocking the power of grid resilience and customer connections with AI

When generative AI burst onto the scene a couple of years ago, it ignited huge excitement among consumers and enterprises.

In the wake of this interest, Andy Quick, chief AI officer, Entergy – an electric utility company with 3 million customers – was tasked by his board to create an AI strategy for the company. In this webinar, he discusses how Entergy partnered with AWS to build its AI capability and formed an AI organization in 2024.

For Entergy, AI is an umbrella term and encapsulates the other tools it has already been working on. Some of these include:

  • Automation for scripting tools to automate rules-based, repeatable work.
  • Natural Language Processing – using Large Language Models to solve problems using unstructured data.
  • Data engineering, to gather clean and organize data from disparate databases.
  • Quantitative data science, which uses tools such as decision trees, regression, and classification to solve problems using structured data.
  • Robotics to perform physical tasks in the real world using software engineered robots.

Watch the webinar to discover how the company is using AI and the use cases it is pursuing to transform business and customer experience.
